If you want to have the full system performance with the lowest overall temperature,l Cooler Boost mode is the best option. It helps to rapidly cool down both CPU and GPU. Cooler Boost mode will boost fans to their maximum velocities. Please be noted that when GPU is not used, its fan speed will stay at 0 rpm. Basic mode helps you set the fan speed to a certain level. We've fine-tuned the speed to ensure the system's stability and to keep the overall temperature in a safe range. Selecting Auto mode will automatically load MSI preset fan speed. In this video we will use the system monitoring window to show the fan's speed. Fan Speed control feature provides 4 options: Auto, Basic, Cooler Boost and Advanced. You can configure everything the way you want and quickly switch between your own setting and the MSI preset options using Dragon Center. Power Plan feature provides lots of options including the lid setting, CPU power settings, power button settings and even the desktop setting.
